Yaja became a podiatrist following a career in teaching and a spell of full time motherhood. After graduating from Southampton University she spent a year working as a podiatry intern in a surgical unit in one of London hospitals but she did not find the surgical route suitable for her. She now combines working as a podiatrist for one of the regional NHS trusts with private work. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry as she believes an open minded, all-encompassing approach creates better solutions to foot related problems.
